Mike Francis is a trial attorney whose practice includes a broad range of commercial litigation matters. He has experience with cases involving construction defects, contract disputes, liens, bond claims, consumer law, debt collection, real estate disputes and business torts in both state and federal courts throughout the United States. Mr. Francis also has an extensive insurance background and has handled a wide variety of insurance related disputes for his residential and commercial construction clients.

Clients and Matters:

Mr. Francis represents individuals, commercial general contractors and homebuilders as well as subcontractors in a broad range of commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, consumer protection lawsuits and catastrophic personal injury actions. Mr. Francis has an extensive background in insurance and has assisted clients with insurance coverage disputes. His representative matters include:

  • Mr. Francis represented a commercial developer in Texas State District Court in an action against a Texas Municipality. Before the trial, Mr. Francis secured a very beneficial settlement for the client.
  • Mr. Francis successfully represented a residential builder in an action against a municipal zoning board regarding variance issues effecting several newly constructed homes.
  • Mr. Francis defended one of the largest homebuilders in America against multiple plaintiffs in a lengthy multi-million dollar arbitration involving a real estate dispute. Mr. Francis obtained a “take nothing” judgment on behalf of his client and was awarded the arbitration fees.
  • Mr. Francis has successfully represented numerous general contractors, homebuilders, property owners and material suppliers in various trials and arbitrations throughout Texas.
